Prof. Dr. Ramazan KORKMAZ
Ramazan KORKMAZ, who was born in Çıldır / Ardahan in 1962, completed his primary education in Çıldır and Ardahan and his secondary education in Erzurum. He graduated from Atatürk University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1985 and started to work as a Research Assistant at Fırat University in the same year. Master's Degree (1988) at Fırat University Institute of Social Sciences with his work titled “A Research on Keçecizade İzzet Molla and Mihnet-Keşan” (VI + 477 p.); KORKMAZ, who completed his doctorate education with his study named “Sabahattin Ali / Insan-Eser” (XII + 403 p.), (1991) KORKMAZ, Associate Professor in the Department of Turkish Literature, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1996; In 2001 he became a Professor. After working at Eastern Mediterranean University (Cyprus) between 2000-2002 and 2004-2006, KORKMAZ continued his career at Fırat University until 2009.

He was awarded the “Rector of the Year” award for his permanent and systematic studies with the Caucasus and Central Asian Universities at the “Oxford Leaders Summit” meeting held by the European Business Assembly (EBA) in Oxford, England, between 25-27 October 2012.
Because of his contributions to the Turkish-Georgian relations. Dr. Ramazan KORKMAZ, Georgia Samtskhe-Javakheti State Teaching University (2015) and Georgia Gori State Teaching University (2016); In addition, due to the synergy created in the region with the Caucasus Universities Association (KÜNİB), it was awarded with honorary doctorate by Azerbaijan Baku Odlar Yurdu University (2016).
Ramazan KORKMAZ started his duty as Deputy Rector by the trustee who was appointed to Fatih University on June 16, 2016 on June 27, 2016 and ended his job with the nationalization of Fatih University on July 24, 2016.
Founding and Presidency Dr. Ramazan afraid of his Caucasus University Association (CUA), Ardahan from Turkey under the leadership of Ardahan University Artvin Çoruh Atatürk, Kars Kafkas, Igdir University with Georgia Akhaltsikhe (Meskhetian) Nakhchivan State University and the Nakhchivan State University rectors was established on November 11, 2009 by a protocol signed in Ardahan.
The Caucasus Universities Association (CUA), which was founded under the leadership of Ardahan University in 2009 with the slogan of “A Future Projection…” and which is now a member of 175 universities from 17 countries, has established strong ties with other university associations around the world and contributed significantly to global peace. ; While preparing the future young people for the world of tomorrow, it aims to grow together with the member countries and to offer the synergy to be born to the welfare and peace of all humanity, especially our region.
While the Caucasus Universities Association (KUNIB) attracts attention as an international academic cooperation institution in which 175 universities from 15 countries are members, it organizes in the countries of the region; It also serves as an academic diplomacy with conferences, congresses, projects, symposia, meetings and training fairs.
